City Begins Search for Clinton Square Tree

By Staff

treeThe City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs announced it has begun its annual search for a tree to serve as the centerpiece of the Clinton Square holiday display.

The tree will take center stage for the city’s annual Home for the Holidays celebration, and a tree-lighting ceremony, Friday, Nov. 27.

The donated tree should be a Norway Spruce which measures at least 45 ft. tall, and must be located in the residence’s front yard to facilitate removal.

The tree must also be away from power lines, and located near a main-access road.

If members of the community have a tree they would like to submit for consideration, they should contact the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs at 315-473-4330, according to city officials.
