City Pools Open for the Season

By Staff

AquaticsBurnetPool - VisionMayor Stephanie Miner has announced that city pools in Burnet Park, Thornden Park, and Schiller Park have opened for the season. Additional pools in the city’s parks and recreation system will open during the week of June 29.

“Syracuse City pools offer a great opportunity for fun and safe recreation for young people and their families during the summer months, and I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy these facilities,” Mayor Miner said. “This is another excellent opportunity for families to enjoy healthy, fun activities together.”

The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation, and Youth Programs operates and maintains eight outdoor swimming pools.

The pools are located in Burnet, Kirk, Lincoln, McKinley, Onondaga, Schiller, Thornden, and Wilson Parks. Pools will be available free of charge to patrons. Hours of operation, and information about programming, including swimming lessons, is available at www.syrgov.net/parks.
