Mayor Stephanie Miner, and the Syracuse Commission for Women, have presented the award annually to a woman in the community who has demonstrated her commitment to community service, served as a role model for other women, and enhanced the lives of city residents, according to officials. This is the sixth year the award has been presented.
“Our community is gifted with many women who are dedicated to improving the lives of their neighbors, and I am honored to recognize one of these leaders each year,” Mayor Miner stated. “From educators to entrepreneurs, accutane private citizens and public servants, we are lucky to have these women involved in the city of Syracuse, contributing to civic life every day.”
Nominations are due in the mayor’s office before the close of business Friday, March 18.
In addition, the award ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. in the Atrium at City Hall Commons March 31, as a capstone celebration for Women’s History Month.
