Cuomo: State Adopted New Rules to Protect Transgender New Yorkers

cuomoprimaryGov. Andrew Cuomo’s office announced Jan. 20 the New York State Division of Human Rights has adopted new regulations which ban discrimination and harassment against transgender people.

The regulations will go into effect Wednesday, and affirm that transgender individuals are protected under the state’s Human Rights Law, Cuomo’s office said.
