The company will close both offices May 30.
“We will uphold all our current installation commitments, and maintenance agreements, and we continue to serve the needs of our customers in New York, from two other office locations in Middletown and Long Island,” Monica Yadav, manager of external relations, said in a statement to the Post Standard. “Our nine other Direct Energy Solar locations throughout the Northeast, and many community programs we operate, are not affected.”
The company, based in Houston, has cited low sales as the reason for the closings. Direct Energy sells solar panels to both residential and business customers.
