James Gordon Williams Trio to Hold Free Concert at Petit Branch Library

james_gordon_williams The James Gordon Williams Trio will present a special concert titled “Improvising in Public,” featuring original compositions, Saturday, May 9, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Petit Branch Library.

James Gordon Williams is an award-winning pianist, accomplished composer, musicologist, and assistant professor of music in the Department of African American Studies in Syracuse University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

He will be joined by Matthew Vacanti, a bassist, composer, and record executive, as well as Joshua Dekaney, a percussion instructor and career development director in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at SU. The concert will be free and open to the public.
