stephanie_minerMayor Stephanie Miner, along with aides Mick Sicchio and Andrew Maxwell, will attend the 2015 Clinton Global Initiative America meeting in Denver, Colorado this week.

Mayor Miner, joined by elected officials, organized labor leaders, and experts from the financial services, engineering, and construction industries, will participate in the Infrastructure for States and Cities Working Group. Miner also attended the event in 2014.

“I am pleased to join my colleagues from across the country, and renowned experts in the field of infrastructure, for these important discussions on how we can reimagine infrastructure for cities for the twenty-first century and beyond,” the mayor stated. “Infrastructure is the foundation on which our communities are built. It is critical for our economic modafinil development, and quality of life that Syracuse residents count on every day.”

Miner has made infrastructure a top priority of her administration. She has traveled to Washington, D.C. to discuss the need for federal investment with Sen. Charles E. Schumer, and U.S. Reps. John Katko, Paul Tonko, and Bill Shuster.

According to officials, former president Bill Clinton established the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in June 2011, which is an initiative of the Clinton Foundation that convenes global leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s challenges.

He and his daughter, Chelsea will headline the event.
