Mayor Stephanie Miner delivered remarks during Wednesday’s closing plenary session of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in New York City, discussing her work with CGI America.

The mayor focused her remarks on the partnerships the Clinton Global Initiative has had with cities, and innovative infrastructure work in Syracuse.

“I was honored to speak at the CGI Annual Meeting about the work we have done in Syracuse, and the growing community of partnerships cultivated at the Clinton Global Initiative,” Miner stated. “I have been pleased to have the opportunity to attend CGI America meetings in the past several years, and I was excited we could launch our own Commitment to Action on infrastructure issues earlier this year. ”

According to the mayor, the city plans to build an open-data buy gabapentin portal to share comprehensive information about the current state of city infrastructure, which will be specifically targeted toward local entrepreneurs.

Miner said city staff will compile the data and present it through interactive maps, which will allow local entrepreneurs access to accurate, real-time information about sewer capacity, previous water main breaks, and road quality, in order to make informed decisions about where they decide to locate their businesses.

According to Miner, the city’s ultimate goal is to share the information, which it will make available on its website to other communities across the nation.

Bill Clinton established the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), an initiative of the Clinton Foundation, in 2005 to convene global leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
