Miner to Hold State of the City Address at Southwest Community Center

j2mMayor Stephanie Miner has announced she will present her seventh annual State of the City address at the Southwest Community Center, 401 South Ave., Thursday, Jan.28.

“Each year I look forward to delivering this address about my administration’s priorities to the people of the city, and I could not be more excited to give my State of the City at Southwest Community Center, in the heart of our city,” Mayor Miner stated“Southwest does remarkable work each and every day, and I’m proud to showcase them as the host of this year’s State of the City.”

Doors will open for the event at 6:15 p.m., and the city will hold a reception before the address begins at 7 p.m., which will be open to the public, according to the city.

The address will end by 8 p.m.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mayor Miner’s State of the City message to the Southwest Community Center, our community welcomes friends and neighbors from across the city of Syracuse to attend,” Sharon Owensexecutive director of the Southwest Community Center, stated.

American Sign Language interpretation will be available for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, provided by Whole Me, Inc.

Parking will be available in the lot immediately behind Southwest Community Center on Lincoln Ave., immediately across the street on South Ave., and along neighborhood streets. Accessible parking will be available along South Ave. immediately in front of the center.
