SU Students Hold Silent Protest in Support of Black Lives Matter

By Staff

su-die-inAbout 200 Syracuse University students held a silent protest in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement Wednesday, according to reports.

The students reportedly lined up on University Place Promenade, then fell to the ground for exactly 10 minutes, before getting up and walking away.

According to Syracuse.com, the students held the impromptu protest in order to raise awareness regarding the 102 unarmed black men who had been killed by police in 2015.

Reportedly, the students decided to hold the protest for a 10-minute period of time in order to represent the fact that only 10 officers were charged in each of the cases.
