The Syracuse Regional Airport has announced the launch of its new air show website, www.syracuseairshow.com. According to officials, the site has been created separately from the airport’s regular website, in order to provide the public with information regarding its upcoming June 11 and 12, 2016 air show.
The site will feature information regarding performers and attractions, how to buy tickets, opportunities to get involved, and frequently asked questions.
In addition, according to officials, the site will be updated regularly as plans continue to unfold. The airport has also created an airshow Twitter account, at @SYRairshow, as well as the Facebook page, www.facebook.com/syracuseairshow, featuring updated air show news.
“With just under a year until the event, we know the public is just as excited as we are for the return of the Syracuse Air Show,” said airport executive director Christina Callahan. “It will have been 14 years between air shows, so some things will have changed, and we anticipate a lot of new attendees who have never been to a Syracuse Air Show. We built a separate website, and social media pages, to create an easy path for the community to find out information. We have some very exciting plans for the show, and we can’t wait to share them.”
So far, the airport has secured performances from The Navy Blue Angels, and The Geico Skytypers.
