Syracuse Airport to Bring Live Musical Performances

By Staff

billThe Syracuse Hancock International Airport has announced it will bring live musical performances to the airport beginning in May.

Officials said the new music program will bring various artists and performances to the airport throughout the year. The performances will take place in the center lobby of the terminal, on the first floor, allowing airport goers to see the performances even if they are not taking a flight.

The first group will be the Bill Horrace Trio, May 1, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

According to officials, the trio adapts paxil modern pop/rock tunes into instrumental, improvisational music arrangements. Its performances usually feature piano and upright bass, as well as a combination of rock, funk, and hip-hop, drumming styles.

“Performing at Syracuse Airport is a unique opportunity for the trio, and we look forward to playing there this summer,” group member Bill Horrace stated. “It should be a blast.”

The airport’s other scheduled performances will be available at www.syrairport.org/airport-guide/music-syr/.
