Syracuse, NYThe Friends of the Central Library (FOCL) are pleased to welcome S.A. Cosby to Syracuse as the fourth author in its 2024-2025 Author Series. Cosby will be speaking at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, at the Civic Center’s Crouse Hinds Theatre. Now in its thirtieth season, the FOCL Author Series is the longest running library-related lecture series in the country.

 

A New York Times bestselling author from southeastern Virginia, Cosby is the author of All the Sinners Bleed, which was on more than forty Best of the Year lists, including Barack Obama’s, as well as Edgar Award finalist Razorblade Tears, Los Angeles Times Book Prize winner Blacktop Wasteland, and My Darkest Prayer. He has also won the Anthony Award, ITW Thriller Award, Barry Award, Macavity Award, BCALA Award, and Audie Award and has been longlist-ed for the ALA Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence. His newest work, King of Ashes, a Godfather-inspired Southern crime epic and dazzling family drama, will be released on June 10.

Tickets can be purchased through the Solvay Bank Box Office at the Oncenter, or online at Ticketmaster.com. Group rates for 10+ are 20% off regular ticket prices. Student tickets are $15 for individual lectures, with a valid student ID. Following Cosby, FOCL will welcome Angie Thomas on April 8 and Mitch Albom on May 6.
