SCSD Holds Holiday Donation Drive for Winter Clothing for Local Students

The Syracuse City School District (SCSD) announced on Nov. 13, 2023 that Armory Square businesses are hosting a Holiday Donation Drive for SCSD students to provide them with winter clothing. The clothing drive began on Mon., Nov. 13, 2023 and continues until Sat., Dec. 9, 2023.

SCSD says that during the Holiday Donation Drive, select Armory Square businesses will serve as drop-off locations where patrons may donate new winter apparel including (but not limited to) winter jackets, sweatshirts, winter hats, gloves, scarves, socks, boots, and seasonally appropriate sleepwear.

According to the district, ten Armory Square businesses are opening their doors to host donation drop off boxes, including: 315 Beauty Bar Downtown, AmeriCU (Armory Square), Best Western Syracuse Downtown Hotel & Suites, Bling N Thingz by Brittani, Cathy's Cookie Kitchen, FlynnStoned Cannabis Co, Forum Barber, Galaxy Media Partners, Marisa's Fortress of Beauty, and Sweet on Chocolate.

SCSD says community members who contribute items to the drive will receive a stamp card valid Nov. 13, 2023 through Jan. 31, 2024 containing discounts to a dozen Armory Square businesses as an expression of thanks for donations.
